Goals

This is a One Name Study to collect together in one place everything about one surname and the variants of that name. The hope is that other researchers like you will join our study to help make it a valuable reference point for people studying lines that cross or intersect.

The Brasseur Name Study is meant to be comprehensive and cover Brasseurs across varied geographies and time periods. That said, the creator of this name study intends to have an initial primary focus on identifying Brasseur families within the confines of the historical Duchy of Luxembourg (modern day Luxembourg as well as the province with the same name in Belgium).

Task List

• Review 19th century decennial tables of localities in the Luxembourg province to determine where Brasseurs lived. These tables can be found easily on FamilySearch.
